Pippit is a dog who appears in Jaws. Shortly before Alex Kintner was killed by the shark, Pippit ventured into the water and disappeared: it's supposed that Bruce killed the dog offscreen. Its owner was seen calling his name without success. A black dog resembling Pipit appears later in the movie lying on a wooden walkway in the "lagoon scene" where Brody leaps over a rail.
