Pipit was a dog who only appears in the first film as possibly the second victim of the shark Bruce.

Film Depiction (Jaws)

During the Independence Day beach celebrations depicted in the film Jaws, a black Labrador retriever, known locally on Amity Island as "Pipit", was lost not far from shore while playing fetch with his owner. Though it is unclear whether an undercurrent swept the dog out to sea, it is commonly believed that the same shark, Bruce, who attacked Chrissie Watkins and Alex Kintner also attacked "Pipit"

• The real Pipit who plays Pipit in Jaws, was born in 1969, but unfortunately died in 1978.
• A plaque was dedicated to Pipit’s burial stating “Pipit: The Star Of Jaws”
