Jake is Michael's best friend in Jaws: The Revenge. He is shark's third victim.

Portrayal

After planting a shock device in the shark's mouth, while aboard Neptune's Folly, the shark mauls him. The boat then sinks.

Trivia

• In the novel, Jake's last name is McCoy. But his last name is never mentioned in the film.
• In an alternate ending, Jake survives the attack. Jake, still seriously injured, declares to Micheal that from now on they're going to study snails.
