Jacqueline "Jackie" Peters is Brooke Peters' cousin and a love interest of Michael Brody. She develops a passion for sailing just like Michael. She is a classic "damsel in distress" character, evidenced by her constant panicking and screaming when the group is attacked by a Great White Shark. She and Sean Brody are stranded on upturned boats when the rest of their friends swim to safety at Cable Junction, but they are saved by Sean's father, Martin Brody, who kills the shark and paddles the two to safety.

Dressing Up:

In her first appearance in the film, Jackie wears black and white shoes, long red pants, a red sweater and a white shirt.

In the dead Orca scene, Jackie does not wear shoes like the others and wears a gray and white striped button-up shirt and pink shorts.

In the final shark scene. Jackie wears a pink, button-up shirt, red shorts, gray ankle socks and white shoes. After being rescued by Martin Brody, she wears Martin Brody's green jacket for warmth due to her being cold and distressed.

Trivia

• It is possible that Jackie suffers from galeophobia (fear of sharks), due to her constant screaming when the shark is around, and also being very cautious of her surroundings on the boat.
• It is unknown what happens to Jackie after the events of Jaws 2. Her still being Michael Brody's love interest or not is unknown (unlikely that she is).
