Edward "Eddie" Marchand was Tina Wilcox's boyfriend in Jaws 2.
Death[]
While on a boating trip on the ocean with Tina away from the others, the shark appears out of the ocean and knocks him overboard. Before he can swim to the boat, he is attacked and brutally eaten up by the shark while hanging onto the side of the boat, becoming the shark's fifth victim. His death horrified Tina.
Eddie's sailboat, a Marshall Sandpiper 15 catboat, is called "Tina's Joy". Universal bought two of these boats for the film. The coaming (railing) around the cockpit of the catboat is damaged as Eddie desperately clings to the boat while the sharks pulls him under the water. He is slammed into the side of the boat and eaten up by Brucette, a terrible way to go.
